Calabria Pro V2

OVERVIEW
Just like its big brother, the Calabria Pro V, the V2 is a fun and solid wake ride that's suited to riders of any skill level. With the Team Edition package, just about every wake feature you'd need is included, like a tower, wake shaper and one of the fastest-filling ballast systems we've tested.
WHAT WE DIG
• Great tracking for a V-drive this size
• The gelcoat graphics literally shine
• The 38-ounce vinyl seating is French stitched
• Three people can easily fit in the single-tip bow
• The Team Edition is a must-have package
FEATURES
Highlight Feature
The lounge seating was fantastic with its G-shaped design, complete with angled observer's seat and comfortable cushions. The entire lounge has a very clean look thanks to the layout and upholstery design. It feels wide and roomy.
Hull
Made with 100-percent hand-laid fiberglass, the Pro V2 is machine made with care. The entire stringer and floor system in this boat, as well as the floor boards, are composite material and come with a lifetime warranty. Overall, we really liked the fit-and-finish.
Ballast
The PureVert ballast system on the V2, as well as the bigger Pro V, is pretty unique. The fiberglass tanks in the hull liner run across most of the boat's length and are gravity fed, making it super-fast. On our test, the entire 700 pounds filled in about 45 seconds and drained in 20 seconds.
Tower
The standard 2.25-inch stainless-steel tower is a Cal-Air. It is pretty solid and pretty much entirely rattle-free. And we dug the optional chromed racks that clamped our boards down nice and tight. Add in the fact that the Team Edition adds four tower speakers onto this thing makes it an impressive tower indeed.
Wake Shaper
The automated Dual-Ram wake shaper is yet another feature that's included in the Team Package. Our testers prefer the ease of a wake shaper level that's attached to the throttle and, unfortunately, the Pro V2 uses a dash switch, but in the end it's all what you're used to.
Wake
A little shallower and narrower than its big brother, the V2's wakes should be very inviting to beginners and advanced riders alike. The 700 pounds of ballast is a good amount for a boat this size, and we found it weighted the boat evenly. At longer line lengths and higher speeds the wake stayed pretty soft; novice riders can experiment a little without much fear.
