Ski Supreme V232

OVERVIEW
The first thing we noticed about this V232 was the metallic blue wrapped around the transom. Suh-weet. This is Supreme's big dude on the block, and it looks the part. Our test site, California's Lake Tulloch, isn't too big but we did get rollers, and we were confident taking this 23-footer through chop.

WHAT WE DIG
• Bow filler cushion comes standard
• Storage in front wraps around sides
• Trim on the steering wheel is very functional
• Throttle armrest is convenient and comfortable
• Hinged observer's seat opens for storage

FEATURES

Highlight Feature
Let's face it: you have to get the Sky package. That's your key to getting the tower, the ballast and the stereo. The Sky package brings the wake to this wake boat.

Hull
Supreme prides itself on these 100-percent hand-laid fiberglass hulls, as well as the custom graphics that make the boats pop on the water. Besides the wakes it created, we liked this V232's hull for helping keep the tracking solid. The rider hardly pulled on the boat. We took it through tight turns and just needed one finger on the wheel to maneuver at low speeds.

Ballast
The Sky package — which, if you're reading this magazine, is required — gives the V232 two rear tanks totaling 720 pounds. You can add an additional 280-pound front tank as well for a round 1,000 pounds. We highly recommend the full grand.

Tower
Again, with the Sky package, you get a Swoop tower that you can further upgrade into a Godzilla or Blade, if you want. The Blade includes billet aluminum and swivel racks. We did notice some rattling of the tower during our test sessions, but it did have a high profile that made for great headroom.

Wake Shaper
We used the optional Bennett trim tab to make the wake a little steeper.

Wake
The wakes thrown off by the V232 were clean and rampy and not quite as big as you might expect from a 23-footer. We would have liked to drop the end with more weight to make the wakes a little lippier. Beginners should try shortening to 60 feet for narrower wakes.
