Wakeboard Boat Review
“Looks cool.” That was the bottom-line finding on our test notes of the Centurion Enzo SV220. We admit that’s a big part of wakeboarding, so we don’t hand out the “cool” review lightly. But the Centurion Enzo SV220’s 21-foot, 8-inch frame is packed with stylie touches like the flared bow contours and swooped-down transom.

Highlight Feature
The Centurion Enzo SV220’s dash is encased in hand-wrapped vinyl along with backlit gauges. The driver also benefits from the optional Matrix seat with a high back, heater and swivel controls.
Hull
Centurion Boats introduced this hull last year as a slightly shorter option in the Enzo line and originally called it the Centurion Enzo SV216. This wakeboard boat has a flatter-than-usual bottom across that exceptional width, helping to make it a solid multisport boat as well as one with serious appeal to wakeboarders.
Ballast
The standard setup is a couple of 230-pound midship tanks, with the option to get two 230-pound tanks in the rear and a fifth tank in the bow. That’s a solid amount of weight to get wakeboarders going, with more advanced wakeboarders probably wanting to try more weight to get the wakes dialed for them.
Tower
New for 2008 comes the Double Up tower that sports a tall, swooping black-powder-coated design accented with polished front supports. We really liked the new swivel board racks for their ease of use getting boards in. The tower can be loaded up with speakers, mirror and bimini.
Wake Shaper
Centurion Boats come with a wake plate that can be adjusted manually as well as a tunable rudder. Wakeboarders who want to tune the wakes and boat on the fly get the Switchblade foil and Bennett trim tabs.
Wake
Beginning wakeboarders will earn a lot of confidence at 70 feet and 22 mph hitting these rampy wakes that are easy to clear. A little farther back, the wakes maintain a good width, though they get a little too rampy and small for some wakeboarders’ taste. Centurion Boats is big into wakesurfing, and the optional Sideswipe exhaust system helps with that by turning on for surfing sessions.
