Overview
If you’re obsessed with riding stellar wakes but just can’t seem to justify the hefty price tag of a hard-core wakeboarding boat, we highly recommend checking out the Axis A22. Priced at under $40,000, this brand-new, dedicated wake machine delivers outstanding performance, core styling and simple functionality without breaking the bank.
Inside the Boat
You would naturally think a price-point boat like this wouldn’t have much interior comfort and appeal, but the Axis A22 holds its own. Equipped with Skybox seating, super-cool under-seat LED lighting, abundant storage and premium-grade 30-ounce marine vinyl, the Axis A22 dishes up amenities you would expect to see in a much pricier boat.
Behind the Boat
Riders of varying skill sets will love the wakes behind the Axis A22. Whether you like a big, meaty wake or favor liquid ramps with a little less oomph, the smooth, rampy transitions of this ride are consistent, no matter what ballast configuration you’re rockin’. While the factory-stocked 900 pounds of subfloor hard-tank ballast will stoke intermediate riders, advanced riders will crave the optional hull displacement potential of nearly 3,200 pounds.
