MasterCraft Boats X-15 2009

Boat Review

With its traditional bow, the MasterCraft X-15 is a perfect fit for the multisport family whose style tastes veer toward the classical. While its look is timeless, the MasterCraft X-15’s performance is anything but old-school. Its modified deep-V hull is versatile enough for everything from core wakeboarding sessions to wakesurf sets and handles big water like a much bigger boat. In fact, thanks to its 100-inch beam, 116 cubic feet of storage and seating for 14, the MasterCraft X-15 feels much larger than the average 21-footer. Features like MasterCraft’s best-of-our-tests swivel wakeboard racks and hard-tank ballast system give the X-15 wakeboard boat as much edge as any X-Series ride.

FAVORITE FEATURE:

VDIG
With even better visibility in its second year, MasterCraft’s everything-at-your-fingertips Video Digital Interface Gauge, or VDIG, makes keeping tabs on everything from fuel levels and water depth to speed and ballast easier and more attractive than ever.

THE WAKES:

The MasterCraft X-15 throws consistent wakes with great transitions and a clean lip. With the almost 900 pounds of factory ballast, the MasterCraft X-15 served up plenty of meat. We found the sweet spot at 22 mph 70 feet back.
