Axis A20 2011

Wakeboard Boat Review

New for 2011, the Axis A20 offers the same core wakeboarding look, function and performance as its larger sibling, the Axis A22, but in a compact, 20-foot-long package — all at an even more affordable price. Like the A22, the Axis A20 features a host of standard features designed to get you out wakeboarding and wakesurfing without adding a single option. The sturdy FatAX tower sports a dramatic look that meshes well with the Axis A20’s hard-edged style, while the 800 pounds of standard hard-tank ballast helps build a solid multisport wake. The twin-tip bow makes the most of the A20’s 98-inch beam, combining with the wraparound lounge to create seating for 11.

The Axis A20 is the best wakeboard boat for you if: You want Axis Boats’ signature look and value in an easy-to-use 20-foot package. It’s a great option for riders on size-restricted or smaller waterways.

How to max it out: Opt for the Plug n’ Play ballast, which allows you to add three ballast bags on top of the Axis A20’s standard 800-pound system. Load up all that water weight and still hop out of the hole when you upgrade to the 400 horsepower Indmar Raptor engine. Finally, keep your wakeboards, wakeskates and wakesurf boards safe and out of the way by adding a pair of swivel board racks to your FatAX tower.
