I have this suit as well and use it in Northern California water on a regular basis. I love it. It keeps me warm, is super flexable. My only complaint is that the 4.5/3.5 version I use is a little heavy for wakeboarding (I get hot as hell riding in the thing!!) but thats just a minor issue. Perfect for surfing long period swells where your waiting a bit between sets.
To the guy above. The suit didnt rip because of a "Fragile suit" suit from O'Neill, this happens to just about any suit in the market… fins are SHARP and will shred ANY suit that gets hit just right. It happens all the time… with all suits. I've had it happen with just about every suit ive ever had (hotlines, billabongs, rip-curls, and xcels) all of em. It just takes the right contact with a fin and done…. Sucks that it happened on the first surf though… i feel for you there no doubt but its really not a manufaturer's deal. Just comes with the territory of riding a board that has 1 to 4 razors attached to the bottom. Think about what would have happend had you not had a suit on…

I just got this suit a week ago. (3/8/10) Put it on and it felt great, i stayed pretty warm in cool Sonoma County water until……My fin on my board grazed across my thighs at one point and it shredded the suit all the way through on both legs. I cannot believe the fragility of this wetsuit! I mean I just got this thing and the first time in the water it's shredded. I talked to Oneills customer service rep Joe, and he said it happens all the time. Heres a thought, fix it so it doesnt "happen all the time" I paid $550 for this wetsuit, so I am vry unhappy with it, so disappointed with Oneill. I would only recommend this suit if you can afford to keep a couple of of backups on hand, or if you really enjoy repairing neoprene, otherwise DO NOT BUY THIS WETSUIT! Its VERY FRAGILE and oneills customer service sucks.
