Nautique WWA Nationals to Hit the Land of 10,000 Lakes

Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships Hits the Land of 10,000 Lakes on July 27-31

Minneapolis, Minn. – The largest wakeboarding event in the United States is set to make a splash in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, when the 2011 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink arrives in Minneapolis, Minn., on July 27-31. The 22nd annual event will take place on the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis off of West River Parkway, in between Plymouth & Broadway Avenue.

Since 1990, the Nautique WWA Nationals has attracted the top wake athletes from throughout the country to compete for national titles in each of its age and skill-level categories.The 2011 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink features 23 divisions, including its two new adaptive categories for wake athletes with limb loss and limb difference.

Competitors range from seven years old to 55 years young, with the top two divisions – the Pro Men and Pro Women’s divisions – attracting world-famous action sports athletes.

nats For the pros, the Nautique WWA Nationals also serves as the sixth event in the King of Wake and Queen of Wake series. Pro riders will be competing for points towards their respective series standings in addition to the national titles.The results from the Nautique WWA Nationals will also determine who will represent the United States at the 2011 WWA Wakeboard World Championships, held in Indianapolis, Ind., on August 18-21.

The 2011 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink is free to the public during all five days of competition.
