The Orlando Watersports Complex is an institution — an iconic spot in wakeboarding’s mecca. Some of wakeboarding’s best riders cut their teeth at the Orlando cable park. Dallas Friday, Phillip Soven, Adam Errington — the list goes on and on. But OWC isn’t just for the pros. In fact, the park has something for every rider. One of OWC’s two cables is designed for more advanced wakeboarders and wakeskaters. Its eight obstacles keep even the sport’s best riders entertained day after day. The park’s other cable is engineered for beginner and intermediate riders, and its wide-open layout is inviting enough for first-time riders. Want to ramp up your progression by riding both the cable and behind the boat? No problem. In addition to its two cables, OWC also has a boat lake with a fleet of the latest and greatest Super Air Nautiques gassed up and ready to go.

**Well, a lot. OWC plays host to a number of pro and amateur events. For the past three years, OWC has housed the Air Nautique Wake Games, the sport’s most unique Pro-Am event. The park also hosts the WWA Wake Park National Championships, which attracts the world’s best cable riders, and its annual Slider Spectacular, an obstacles-only event that features some of today’s best pros and up-and-comers.

Year-Round Riding

Because of Orlando’s consistently warm conditions, year-round riding is a reality at OWC. The cable lakes and boat lake are open spring, summer, winter and fall, providing the water time you need to progress your riding.

Ride All Day

The promise of OWC’s school, which is headed up by wakeboarding legend Cobe Mikacich. Campers receive private instruction with Mikacich behind one of OWC’s top-of-the-line Super Air Nautiques, as well as unlimited access to the cable park. “You can literally ride all day long,” Mikacich says, “and there is an endless amount of fun to be had.”

“OWC is the best of both worlds. It’s the only park in the country with two cable lakes, which makes it great for beginners and advanced riders. Then you have the boat lake, which really made wakeboarding possible for me because I grew up without a boat. Because of the awesome weather and the crazy amount of water time you get, OWC also breeds a lot of good riders. I see more up-and-coming kids at OWC than any other place in the country. When you go out and see all these young kids killing it and learning new tricks, it pushes you to go out and learn more too.” — Adam Errington
