Bikini-clad hotties are almost as important to wakeboarding as boats and boards, so putting together this feature on newly launched Crispy Bikinis was a no brainer. But Crispy’s connection to wakeboarding goes deeper than your average swimsuit brand. Crispy Bikinis are designed and handmade by Sue and Cristina Swink, a mother-daughter team from Canyon Lake, California. The Swink’s involvement in wakeboarding began 9 years ago when Sue’s son and Cristina’s brother, Cooper, began competing in World Wakeboarding Association events. Today, 16-year-old Cooper is riding in the Jr. Pro Mens division, and Crispy Bikinis have been popping up on professional wakeboarding’s hottest wives and girlfriends (Shawn Watson’s girlfriend Leslie Nelson, for example) since the company launched in April 2009. Sue and Cristina have even made custom bikinis for Shane Bonifay and Pointless Productions, and Crispy recently designed, styled and dressed the Monster Energy Girls for a feature in the November issue of Maxim magazine. Our guess is you’ll be seeing more of Crispy Bikinis on a lake near you soon, but for now, go to crispybikinis.com to get your Crispy fix.
