Epic Boats delivered 2009′s most surprising wakeboard boat innovation when it debuted the Epic 23e, the world’s first hybrid electric sport boat, last February. Now, the San Diego boat brand has unveiled the next step in its wakeboard boat green movement — the all-electric Epic 21se.
Like the 23e, the Epic 21se is powered by hundreds of pounds of lithium ion batteries. Unlike the 23e, the 21se can run for up to 10 hours on a single charge, giving boaters a full day on the water before they have to plug the boat back in. The Epic 21se’s battery pack can be recharged through its plug-in charger, which accepts any voltage source, or by an external generator, which runs on both diesel and bio-diesel.
Epic Boats is now taking orders on the new Epic 21se.

time to work on a hydrogen powered boat, imagine a boat powered by the very water it sits in with no adverse effects on the lake itself
I liked as much as you’ll obtain performed right here. The comic strip is attractive, your authored subject matter stylish. nonetheless, you command get got an impatience over that you would like be handing over the following. sick indisputably come more beforehand once more since exactly the similar nearly very often inside case you shield this increase.
you need to get into some copms with your boats!!! im a por wakesurfer. i can set you up with the people to get you in.
Wakeboarding in silence or listening to music is amazing…. This is the future.
I only want V8's. they should make a wakeboat with a V10 or even V12. Never enough power.
Electricity gives a lot of torcque sure, but it doesn't last. Quiet yeah, but i want noise, warms up the ears for the nighttime.
Being in an electric boat is wonderful – no engine noise and no fumes….This is great fun. I have been in the 23e….can't wait to be in the 21se!
Great. Now lets get solar power on board.
I think this is a great idea. An application where the added weight of batteries is actually a GOOD thing! It might be difficult to use on a long trip (e.g. Lake Powell) where recharging isn't easily accessible. But, for a day-to-day wakeboat it seems like this could work well.
A lot of details are missing though. Hopefully Epic's site offers more details.
Not Me, if that battery gets wet, it will make a nice bomb. Easy fishing around that boat if the Batteries get wet.
They are Flux Hybrid Lithium bateries, not to be confused with lithium Ion batteries, they don't blow up.
Holy crap
When can I buy it?
it's available now. I think you have to call EPIC or check with your local dealer.
Amazing
