The key to the 720 is getting the best lift possible off the double up. Try cutting in with an aggressive edge. Shaun Murray says if you flatten out you can pop straight up and start your spin immediately. Chase Heavener adds that if you lean really far forward over your nose when edging in you won’t get kicked off axis when you hit the double. As soon as you lift off the wake begin the rotation. If you can’t do a clean 540 with time to spare, don’t even try this trick. Get on a trampoline and practice spinning extremely fast. Remember: This trick has two handle passes. Once you rotate into the 540 position just reach for the handle with your free hand keeping everything tight in the small of your back. Once you make that last pass really pull the handle into your hip to work in that last 180 rotation. The last 180 is the hardest part of the trick.
