Redesigned for 2009 Slingshot reshaped the tip and tail slightly for a better release off the wake. They also added their new Taperwall,, that stiffens the center of the board, giving the rider an even more controlled flex. Last but not least is the Dura base, which is the new bombproof bottom that comes on all the `09s. The Recoil is a 3-stage rocker, which will be most suitable for wake-to-wake airs, and its clean bottom with predictable pop should give you everything you need for styley spins with grabs.
