The World Wakeboard Association recently announced that the 2010 WWA Wake Park World Championships will be held at Hip-Notics Cable Wake Park in Antalya, Turkey, on Sept. 27-Oct. 2.
Located on the southern coast of Turkey, just a few hours from some of Europe’s major cities, Hip-Notics features three lakes, a new obstacle park as well as a pro shop, video room, trampoline and other on-site ameniities.
The WWA says Hip-Notics state-of-the-art cable wakeboarding facility is the perfect fit for the 2010 Wake Park World Championships.
The WWA Wake Park World Championships is the leading and most prestigious event in the world of cable wakeboarding. As the true World Championships, recognized and supported by the industry, athletes and worldwide media, the WWA Worlds determines the cable wakeboarding world champion each year in 18 different divisions. It continues to set the standard and pave the way for overall progression in cable wake sports.
In 2009, fans from all over the globe logged on to the live webcast and lined the beaches at the CamSur Watersports Complex in the Philippines for last year’s World Championships. The event had more than 250 riders representing 21 different countries. It was the largest collective wakeboarding event to date and brought together riders from all across the world to crown world champions in each respective division.
The 2010 WWA Wake Park World Championships in Antalya, Turkey, will also be one of the stops on the 2010 WWA Wake Park World Series. In this global series, pro riders earn cash prizes and gather points at each stop to determine an overall WWA Wake Park World Series winner.
