BFY Productions will release its latest feature film titled Defy on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at The Beacham in downtown Orlando, Florida. More than three years in the making, Defy is a highly-anticipated film about a wakeboarding journey starring four-time X Games champion Danny Harf and his crew of progressive pro riders. Pre-order tickets are available for $6 at thebeacham.com.
Known as the only rider to land a 1260-degree spin, Harf has done it all as a wakeboarder, but Defy will be Harf’s first effort as a film producer, sharing responsibilities with elite director Sean Kilgus. The pair have a solid track record, winning “Best Video Performance” at the 2008 Wake Awards for Harf’s section in Drive. Harf also repeated in 2009 for his section in Billabong’s Out of the Pond. This time, Harf’s goal is to inspire all wakeboarders to Defy.
“I want people to realize how much there is left to be done on a wakeboard,” Harf said. “This film is about our shared desire and motivation to push boundaries. In today’s world, that comes with a lot of risk and creativity, which will make the film interesting and fun to watch.”
Harf would like to thank the sponsors of Defy, including Monster Energy, Ronix, Fox, Nautique Boats, System 2.0 and TransWorld WAKEBOARDING.
