Pro Men and Women Open Competition at Day Three of Nautique WWA National Championships

West Chester, OH. —Wakeboarding’s two elite divisions, Pro Men and Pro Women, held opening round heats at the country’s biggest contest of the year, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships presented by Rockstar.

Nautique team rider and rookie sensation Mike Dowdy thrived behind the G23’s world class wake. In his first Nationals event as a pro, Dowdy stuck some of the most stylish airs of the day, as well as some of the most technically-sound rail riding to cruise to a first place finish in his heat.

The female contingent of pro riders were equally stoked to boost off the G23’s perfect launch pad. Perhaps, no one as much as the sport’s most decorated female rider of all-time, Dallas Friday, who registered one of her best runs of the season matching Amber Wing for the division’s high-score of 83.33.

“The world’s best brought their A-game today at Nationals,” said Chris Bischoff, competition director. “The riding we saw today is a testament that anything is possible when the best athletes go head-to-head with the G23’s game-changing wake at a venue that is perfect for hosting such an important event.”
