- The definition of a "cable rider" has changed immensely over the last few years. Take Gabe Lucas and Kaesen Suyderhoud for example. You would be hard pressed to catch either of these two CWB team riders doing an air trick.
- CWB Board Co. has inked a sponsorship deal with Hydrous to expand into their new location being built now on behind Lake Lewisville in Little Elm! The new location will have lake access, a pro shop full of quality gear and the Tower Tap House restaurant and bar!
- To the best of our knowledge a wake to wake front flip with a backside 360 hasn't been caught on film before. Harley Clifford may have landed some, but we have yet to see some video proof. Mark Kenney had an air front blind mobe behind the boat on film in an old Wake TV episode, which was just one of many insane tricks he landed prior to his sudden and tragic passing in 2002...
- On January 26th, the wake community lost a special person, Cianne Naji, to Cystic Fibrosis. Fellow wakeboarder and good friend, Nicola Butler, has been working with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, her sponsors, and other companies to set up a raffle in memory of Ci. Proceeds go towards finding a cure for CF. A minimum donation of $10 will give you the chance to win some pretty cool stuff.
- After three months off the water due to a back injury, Nicola Butler takes her first few sets back in beautiful Bacalar, Mexico. As you can see from her riding, her time off didn't phase her, and she's ready to dominate the upcoming season.
- Daniel Powers seems to be enjoying the offseason to the utmost this year after a solid rookie year on the King of Wake tour as a pro. Finishing just outside the top 10 Daniel's riding is consistent, stylish, and really fun to watch.

- Our friends at CWB just sent over this very cool edit of Gabe Lucas and his trip to Russia. It seems like every time a rider is invited over there, the Russian wakeboard contingent takes very good care of them and the riders always come back raving about the place.
