Pleasant Prairie, Wis. — One of the largest and most prestigious action-sports events on the planet is debuting at Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, when the Rockstar Energy Drink WWA Wakeboard World Championships, presented by Supra arrives at Lake Andrea on Aug. 16-19. More than 200 professional and amateur wakeboarders and wakeskaters from across the globe will compete in the 19th annual invitation-only event for a shot at a world title.

Nautique, the title sponsor of the 2012 Wake Games, is upping the ante at this year’s contest by sponsoring two new pro events worth more than $10,000 in cash prizes. The boat manufacturer will front cold, hard cash for both a traditional double-up contest and an innovative expression session challenge during the '12 Games.

For the first time in its 23-year history, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink will be held in Ohio. Event organizer World Sports & Marketing announced today that the four-day event will be held on Aug. 2-5 at Voice of America MetroPark in the greater Cincinnati area of West Chester.
