Video: One-Armed Wakeboarder Lands A Back Roll

Watch Mike Krohn, a one-armed wakeboarder from Westmont, Illinois, land his first back roll since losing his left arm in a PWC accident in 1998.

Mike has a pretty incredible story. Ten years after his accident, Mike started training with wakeboarding legend Darin Shapiro at Ride The Spot, Shapiro’s Orlando, Florida, wakeboard camp, and the pair have worked on this back roll for two years. So what’s next?

“I have been working on a switch toeside single wake to blind, which is like a one-armed 3,” Mike says. “I’m going to start working on a scarecrow tomorrow.”

I met Mike when I was spending a week at Darin's Ride The Spot. The guy has a great personality, and its good to see that he's not letting his injury hold him back.

    Keep it up Mike!
