Bayerly did a good job but it wasn't great no creativity, CWB they did a lot of tricks and a bit of creativity but could have done better, Obscura was great a really excelent video a lot of creativity and really good tricks and Remote too but Obscura killed it!

Although remote in my mind has the best tricks, the lack of creativity gave it to Obscura. Love seeing reed still killing it.

the obscura flat bar with the high jump rail was cool.
remotes super long nose slides were bad ass.
i couldn't tell who it was on the cwb video but the double kickflip out of the pool was killer.
i can't believe that people don't see the skill, danger, and style factor in jibbing a boat and launching off of the windshield to go over the bow!!! byerly team two thumbs way up.
No one even came close to Obscura hands down.

i really think you missed it. obscura showed a burning wild west town, DC showed the city. Aaron Reed lives in TX and the graphics on last years boards were cowboys and indians, one of the first obscura video ads to come out was aaron and danny chasing eachother dressed up like cowboys and indians… so look a little closer..
i must have missed it. but when i saw the obscura video, i just felt like i had already seen it but i couldn't figure out where. after awhile, it came to me. i watched the dc video again (gotta love youtube!) and the whole time thought of the obscura video. i guess what i meant that the video wasn't original was that they got the idea, the creative from the dc video. i find it hard to believe that nobody on that shoot has seen "dc in the city". but maybe it could have been THAT ironic.

I agree with both of you… I think Obscura could have constructed the props in a way that didn't resemble the DC video… But none the less Obscura killed it!!
bro……. i know danny personally, and hes an honest dude, and he said like straight up that hes never seen "dc in the city" plus him and aaron woulld NEVER rip off some one elses idea or video… plus alot of skate videos, movies, and edits are made in cities
sooz, have you seen the etnies "boxton square"? They pretty much copied it. Now I agree that they stomped some hammers & the hippie was dope, but concept lacked originality.

funny thing is that i love the obscura video. great music, great effects. it IS great creative. it just ain't THEIR creative.

You are a clown. This isn't skate and create, nor is it skateboarding. Skateboarders also had twice as much time and money. None of this has ever been done in wakeskating so how can any of it be unoriginal? If you think it sucks, fund your own project and do it better. Until then, show some respect and just be stoked these guys brought some sick videos for you to watch. Douche bag.

I never said their wakeskating wasn't epic. I said their creative wasn't original. even the other two videos which completely lacked creativity had some incredible wakeskating. I couldn't kick it like that if I practiced for 20 years! these guys are truly amazing. but they (obscura) ripped off the dc video. plain and simple.

They did a great job of executing their version of the winning skate/create video. Their riding was insane. But not original.

Bottom line is that Shawn and the Transworld crew did a great job with this project. Without them this wouldn't have gone down. I'm already looking forward to the next one~!

CWBs Pool was SOOO SICK! Their tricks were so much harder to land than anyone elses! Def goes much higher on the difficulty scale and a cool July 4th Theme since the cover will be for the month of July! AMERICA!!!

Sure it was an good idea for any other video. But I thought the goal of the contest was to be creative and original, not to hang back on tradition. Watch the Transworld Skate and Create videos and then compare these wakeskate vids and that's what I'm talking about!

cwb stands for canadian wake board…… and they us USA… it is a little messed up. and they for sure shot this days if not weeks before bin laden……… soooo there was prolly no intended connection there wat so ever
