Wakeboard Boat Review
The boat that started it all for Axis, the A22 is the perfect size for creating pro-level wakes and accommodating multiple riders at a length that’s still really manageable. Surf Gate is available on axis, and it works especially well with the A22’s hull. The toggle switch at the dash is convenient and intuitive; it makes a wave on the left when you toggle it left and opposite for right. It couldn’t be simpler. It saves a ton of time to keep the boat evenly weighted after you’re done wakeboarding and have the luxury of taking a surf set by just flipping a switch.
Everything on the A22’s dash is very simple and effective. Each gauge has a hood so it’s easy to see in any light, the toggle switches are simple and reliable and the throttle is crisp and responsive. Everything is exactly where you want it and there’s nothing you don’t need on an Axis dash, which is part of what makes the A22 such a great value.
Speaking of value, the A22’s interior design maximizes space without inflating the price. The wraparound lounge is simple and based on getting as many people in the boat as possible, and flip up seats ensure they can face the action. The bow is massive and spacious, and the tower fits perfectly with the look and feel of the boat.
