(February 1, 2016) – ASA Electronics® received another patent on its innovative technology, this time for their Auto-Pairing Wireless Camera System designed for tractor-trailer applications. This technology will seamlessly pair any combination of cabs and trailers, regardless of fleet size, if they are equipped with Voyager® wireless monitors and cameras. Adapter kits can even convert competitors’ older wired systems to be compatible with this new wireless technology.

Several factors went into developing this system, and perhaps the most important are cost and ease of use.
“The best thing about this system is the simplicity, and how that simplicity improves several cost factors associated with using older technology. We have removed the need to have a dedicated 7-way bulkhead connector between a tractor and trailer for an older camera system. The hardware costs of those components are eliminated off the top,” Garver explained.
Furthermore, he said that the fleet also saves through reduced maintenance and troubleshooting times on the service side since those components are recurring weak points in a wired setup.
