Wakeboard Boat Review
All new for 2007, the Centurion Enzo SV216 proves that wakeboard boats don’t have to be giant in size to be huge in style and performance. Like its big brothers, the Enzo SV240 and the Enzo SV230, it’s decked out in exclusive Enzo bling and wake accessories from bow to stern. But it’s also got a brand-new hull that goes a long way toward making this 21-footer a giant in its own right.
Hull
Versatility is the name of the game here. Centurion designed the hull of the Enzo SV216 with a wide, flat bottom – the flattest in its lineup, in fact. Its huge running surface cuts through the water and, depending on your speed and wake plate settings, churns up wakes to suit everybody in your crew.
Ballast
If you don’t think this boat looks big enough to carry some weight, think again. The standard setup alone equips this boat with 419 pounds of factory ballast capacity, and two optional rear tanks up the total to 832 pounds.
Tower
The black powder-coated Evolution tower comes standard on this model, with optional wakeboard racks, chrome front supports and accessories such as speakers and lights. For a different look opt for the Tribal tower with etched-in designs.
Wake shaper
Tweak the standard adjustable wake plate before you head out, or upgrade to the Switchblade, a wake-producing foil that’s adjustable from the helm. Either way, you’ll be able to sculpt the wakes to your liking.
Seating
You’ll feel like you’re lounging in a souped-up sports car when you’re hanging out in the Centurion Enzo SV216. Pleated seat backs in the main lounge and open bow, and the optional Matrix driver’s seat with a high back and swivel controls, play on the Ferrari-inspired look and feel of the Enzo series.
The Wake
Great-shaped, mellow transitions. This newest addition to the Enzo lineup boasts wake rampiness that isn’t commonly found in the Centurion family. Beginners will want to ride shorter line lengths because of the width, while more advanced riders will enjoy the wake-to-wake pillow-soft landings.
