2010 Overview: Ronix is heading into 2010 with plenty of momentum after winning Most Innovative Product for Danny Harf’s pro model One wakeboard binding at this year’s WSIA Leadership Awards. The company doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Ronix has six brand-new wakeboards, including pro models for Dean Smith, Emily Copeland Durham and Hayley Smith. The most interesting new Ronix wakeboard, however, is Adam Errington’s new pro model Bill wakeboard. Designed to shred both behind the boat and at the cable park, the Bill wakeboard features Ronix’s super-durable sintered snowboard base and Krypto Cable, which makes the sidewalls of the Bill its strongest area. Ronix continues to innovate its boots as well, adding several new models and new features like a new tool-less mounting system. But hands down the coolest thing we saw in the Ronix booth was the Relik Reflecto boot, a limited-edition version of Parks Bonifay’s pro model wakeboard binding. With its chrome foil shell and woven steel mesh, the Relik Reflecto boot is the perfect compliment to Bonifay’s futuristic Ibex wakeboard, which was redesigned for 2010.
