It is easiest to learn this trick wake to wake, so begin with a narrow progressive approach on your heelside edge. After leaving the wake, start your rotation by aggressively pulling the handle with your lead hand through the small of your back and then pushing your wrist to your far hip. This will place the handle just out from your hip, making it easier to find the handle and complete the handle pass. The farther the handle pull, the easier the trick. If you’re having a hard time finding the handle, you’re not pulling far enough. Drop your rear hand to grab the handle and look back at the boat for your landing. To maintain a straight axis it is important to start your rotation after you have left the wake and to look at the horizon during your entire rotation.
