Reef signs JD Webb and Tino Santori
Both sign 3-year contracts to represent Reef Apparel
San Diego, CA (December 30, 2003)- Reef, the leader in authentic action sports footwear, is proud to announce the signing of JD Webb and Tino Santori to represent Reef’s apparel line. JD Webb has been riding for Reef for the past 4 years while Tino is a welcomed new addition to the brand. JD and Tino are the first athletes of Wakeboarding acclaim to sign with Reef Apparel, which will hit stores in early Spring 04.
While Reef has been in business for over 19 years, until recently the Brand has offered a narrow product line, primarily limited to footwear. Yet the Company’s brand identity and awareness is on par with far larger Brands in the action sports industry. “We feel the apparel launch is a natural extension of Reef’s brand identity”, said Mark Price, Global Marketing Director, “and in keeping with the beach lifestyle recognition the Brand enjoys.”
Reef apparel and the two young athletes, JD and Tino, match up well. Given Reef’s market position, the men’s apparel line has tremendous resources behind it and long term potential. Tino Santori – 2003 1st Place Pro Tour Stop – Kelowna, BC., 2002 Rookie of the Year by Wakeboarding Magazine, 2002 US Open of Wakeboarding Champion, Reef is headquartered in San Diego, California.
