KICKER Gets on Board in the Lone Star State
New Braunfels, TX — KICKER Car Stereo will be Livin’ Loud as the Texas Wakeboard Tour begins its 2004 circuit Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Texas Ski Ranch. Top riders from around the state will compete in both amateur and professional classes for more than $15,000 in prize money.
“We’re expecting capacity crowds,” tour organizer Bill Geiger said. “We’ve got firm commitments from some We’ve got firm commitments from some big names in the industry, so I know the action will be insane. Lot’s of big air for sure, these guys like to go off.”
The Texas Wakeboard Tour, which boasts that it’s “created by Texas riders, for Texas riders,” is a series of events throughout the state that will give a growing number of homegrown riders an opportunity to showcase their talents. In addition to the competition, spectators can grub on food from official Tour sponsor Hooters and cold beverages from major backer Coors Light. There will also be live music from Egress and Space Cadet, and Nissan will be featuring the its Titan Truck. KICKER will demo its subwoofer-slammed Nissan Xterra.

Gates open to the public at 8 a.m. with action beginning at 9 a.m., and admission is free. The Texas Ski Ranch, a state-of-the-art extreme sports complex, is located at 6700 I-35 North in New Braunfels, approximately halfway between San Antonio and Austin.
