Epic Boats recently added California sisters Raequel and Shawna Hoffman to its pro team.
“They are the future of women’s wakeboarding,” says Joe Umali, Epic Boats marketing director. “With their commitment to excel behind the boat combined with their off-the-water values, it made perfect sense to have them join the Epic family.”
Raequel capped off the 2006 season by winning the Wake Games in the Pro Women’s division and finishing first at the INT U.S. Championships. Shawna took first at the 2006 Wake Games, WWA Nationals, and WWA Worlds in the Junior Women’s division.
“It’s a dream come true to ride for Epic,” Raequel said. “An aspect that I love about Epic is how much they care about female athletes. Epic is not only helping the sport of wakeboarding, but the women’s side of wakeboarding as well. If it were not for Epic, The Chick Flick wouldn’t be possible.”
