Texas Ski Ranch will kick off another south Texas summer season on May 6-8 with Cablestock 2011, a three-day a wake and skate festival featuring world-class athletes, live music and more. Cablestock will feature some of the world’s best riders, including Wake Park World Champion Tom Fooshee, Shawn Watson, Shane Bonifay and Gabe Lucas, as well as live music performances from Bun B, MiMOSA, Chip that Ripper and Run DMT.
Cablestock will bring out all of the best pro wakeboarders, wakeskaters and skateboarders from around the world. These riders are putting friendships aside for the weekend and battling it out to get a piece of the $10,000 that is up for grabs. As always, Cablestock promises the best bikini contest in Texas with $1,000 to the lucky winner.
Texas Ski Ranch is celebrating the grand opening of restaurant bar and grill Wahoo’s Fish Taco. With flavors from Mexico, Brazil and Asia combined with a Hawaiian North Shore vibe and full bar, taste buds and appetites will surely be sufficed. The grand opening will officially take place Friday night, so you don’t want to miss all of the activities in store to unveil the ultimate action sports partnership.
Another added twist on the weekend’s line-up: A call to action for Locks of Love. Texas Ski Ranch will be taking hair and cash donations for the non-profit and will be asking riders, vendors and spectators to step up and pledge for the cause. No hair or cash to spare? Pledge to shave your head to raise awareness of the difficult emotional journey cancer patients face when losing their hair, as their sickness becomes apparent to the public.
The cable lake will also be open to all throughout the weekend to go out and ride with your favorite pro riders. Beginners are encouraged to try out our easy-to-learn two-tower cable system and for anyone that commits to a weekend of shredding, they will receive a discounted pass of three days for just $49.95.
