Season opens in Orlando at Nautique Wake Games

Orlando, Fla. — World Sports & Marketing is pleased to announce that Overton’s has extended its title sponsorship of wakeboarding’s Junior Pro Series, which will open its new season during the Nautique Wake Games at the Orlando Watersports Complex on April 25-28. The Overton’s Junior Pro Series will feature an eight-city schedule that coincides with all stops on the 2013 King of Wake tour and awards cash prizes to the top three event and series team riders.

In addition to opening the season in Orlando, the Overton’s Junior Pro Series will also make five stops in conjunction with the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour in Acworth, Ga., on May 18; Mooresville, NC. (near Charlotte), June 1; Mossdale, CA. (near Sacramento), June 29; in the greater-Seattle area of Monroe, Wash., on July 13; and in Grand Rapids, MI on August 24. The series also include competitions in conjunction with the WWA National Championships in West Chester, OH., on July 25-28 and followed with an event at the WWA World Championships in Pleasant Prairie, WI., on Aug. 15-18.

“Since coming on as the title sponsor for the Junior Pro Series, Overton’s has helped raise the bar of competition among wakeboarding’s next generation of riders,” said Chris Bischoff, competition director at World Sports & Marketing. “We’re excited to partner with them again in 2013 and are looking forward to seeing more incredible performances from the junior pro athletes.”

All athletes competing in the Junior Pro Division at King of Wake stops will earn points based on their individual event results that will accumulate throughout the season to determine the Overton’s Junior Pro Series champion. All division riders are eligible and are encouraged to join the Overton’s junior team, which includes a cash incentive program at each event as well as cash prizes for riders’ overall performance throughout the entire season. Cash incentives are awarded exclusively to athletes that register for the Overton’s incentive program, and break down as follows:

In addition to cash prizes awarded through the Overton’s incentive program, all riders competing in the Overton’s Junior Pro Series are eligible for performance-based general prizes at each event and for overall performance throughout the season. The prizes break down as follows:

Athletes competing in Overton’s Junior Pro Series events during the 2013 King of Wake can register to be an Overton’s junior team rider at registration or on site.
