Orlando, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2014) –The fifth installment of the 2014 King of Wake series, the Nautique WWA National Championships, will premiere on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2:30 p.m. EST on NBC Sports Network. The series is presented by Rockstar Energy.
One lucky Pro Men’s rider had a dream run and it was just enough to overcome a stacked field of competitors that included Rusty Malinoski, Nautique Team rider Bob Soven, Nautique Team rider Noah Flegel, Oli Derome and Nautique Team rider Danny Harf.
A fan favorite, the CONTOUR big air kicker contest will also be on display during the televised episode. The mesmerizing specialty event features some of the best Pro Men’s riders who put their bodies on the line and launch themselves from a ramp into the air and perform massive rotating aerials that are rarely accomplished in a traditional contest setting.
NBC Sports Network will air the final three episodes throughout the fall months to follow wakeboarding’s top pros, as they compete in the sport’s most elite series. NBC Sports Network will give viewers unprecedented access to all of the action on the water, with in-depth profiles of all the best riders!
