The International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation hosted the Waterski World Championships this week in Groveland, Florida. With a ton of incredible performances behind the Ski Nautique during the weeklong event, it was Nautique Team athlete Jacinta Carroll who won the Women’s Jump division yesterday with a 195 ft (59.4m) jump that broke the event record. Alongside Jacinta, Team Nautique athletes Ryan Dodd won the Men’s Jump division and Anna Gay took home the top spot in the Women’s Trick portion of the event.
During the preliminary rounds on Friday, Jacinta had already broken the event record with a 192ft (58.5m) jump, but bested herself during the Final round on Sunday and sealed her 5th World Championship title. Ryan Dodd returned from injury with another incredible performance, jumping 232ft (70.8m) and earning the victory behind the Ski Nautique. In the Women’s Trick Division, there was an all Nautique athlete Podium when Anna Gay took first with Neilly Ross in second and Erika Lang in third spot. Team Nautique skier Pato Font also earned a spot on the podium of the Men’s Trick division in second place.
“Congratulations to all of the skiers who took home World titles and delivered record setting performances during this amazing week of action,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “I am extremely proud of the Nautique team for their strong performance at the IWWF Waterski World Championships. The record-setting Ski Nautique delivered beyond high expectations providing the platform for incredible athlete performances!”
